National Scrapbook Day 2007

National Scrapbook Day is my kinda holiday...  A celebration where I get to craft, guilt-free!  Hooray!

I will be working the online crop at RSC on Saturday, and cropping with my mom and sister on Sunday.  We'll be working on my nephew's baby book Sunday, so I hope to get some fun stuff done on Saturday.  I plan to work on:

  • Mother's Day cards, if the stamps I ordered Monday show up in the mail.
  • Marble magnets for my mom and Mother-in-Law.  I already have purchased them each a gift, but I like to give them something extra that's handmade.
  • Inchies.  They are little one inch by one inch squares, kind of like an artist trading card.  You can mount them on a greeting card, attach a magnet, cover a canvas, etc.  You can read about them and see some examples on the Two Peas stamping message board by clicking here.
  • Organizing my new stamps.  I bought a set of the second series of Studio G clear stamps that can only be found at Michael's.  I dont' have a Michael's nearby, so I was luckily able to find someone who was selling them on a message board.
  • Miscellaneous cheerful greeting cards for my mom's friend who is in the hospital with cancer.

Of course, I won't get all these things done.  Knowing me, I'll get caught up chatting and not get a whole lot of creating done.  It's a good things I don't go out to regular crops, or I'd never get anything done except toting my stuff around!

This is your personal invitation to the crop at RSC, please join us for fun and PRIZES!

National Scrapbook Day

After this weekend, I need to hunker down and finish my projects for RSC.  Then, I need to get back to helping my sister with my nephew's baby book.  She will be having the new baby in mid-August, so that's only a few months for us to get somewhat caught up before we have a whole nother person to scrapbook about.  I also need to get to work stamping some onesise for him.  I have to get some practicing done before I do the real thing, so I picked up some small tote bags to play with.

Speaking of the baby, it's a BOY!  And he already has a sense of humor.  This is one of his sonogram pictures from this week when they were trying to determine his gender...

Awww!  Little baby foot!  *swoon*

I think that's the perfect note to end on!  Until next time...

P.S. I just noticed in my post-posting edits that for some reason links are appearing larger and in a different font than regular text.  Not sure why that's happening and I don't think I've noticed it before.  So, I'm not sending a subliminal message to click the link to RSC.  Well, I'd love you to do it, but that's not on purpose!  *lol*
